CMI Management Training Programmes

The Chartered Management Institute (CMI) sees itself as the UK's premier and most professional awarding body. Once you are registered for a qualification programme with CMI, you become a "studying member" and this gets you access to good online study resources as well as invitations to networking events, newsletter etc.

CMI is perceived as the "blue chip" awarding body, but as a consequence sets quite exacting standards.

It is both an awarding body and a membership organisation and its background and evolution make it particularly strong at levels 5 and 7.

CMI also runs the "Chartered Manager" programme whereby once you have a Level 5 qualification you can go on to apply to have chartered status as a manager regardless of your industry per se.

However you don't have to do a CMI qualification in order to become a chartered manager - you can do your qualification with Edexcel (BTEC) for example, and the apply to join CMI and become a Chartered Manager later.
